The Ranger Cougar (IA) Initial Attack Pack

On GSA Schedule, the Ranger Cougar Pack is designed to ride low in the small of your back. This helps maintain the weight of the pack on your hips, especially when you are bent over to dig or cut line.
The Ranger Cougar Pack is made of 1000 denier Cordura for excellent wear and durability. The shoulder straps are fully adjustable, are padded with EVA-COTE foam for durability and comfort, have a contoured "S" shape for an ergonomic fit and come with a sternum strap.
The Ranger Cougar Pack features a wide, padded hip belt, 1 main compartment with drawstring closure (approximately 1650 cu in.), 1 zippered top pocket, 2 fusee compartments, and 2 water bottle compartments. It also has an integrally bottom mounted fire shelter compartment with velcro closure, that is turned sideways for easy one handed access. The fire shelter pocket accommodates the New Generation fire shelter.
There is also an additional rear pocket for added capacity.
